The Traverse City Record Eagle so far has chosen not to report on the 14 weekly “SPEECHLESS: Silencing the Christians” series currently airing on Northwest Michigan’s “Up North 2” public access television station, even though both at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, MI, on Feb 9, 2009, and at Tampa, FL WFLA Channel 8, on July 16, 2009, homosexual activists lead strong protests against the SPEECHLESS videos.
In Michigan, AFA Michigan promotional materials stated that the program would: “reveal the truth about the radical homosexual agenda and its impact on the family, the nation and religious freedom.”
In Florida, 250 homosexual activist protestors chanted:
“Shame, Shame, Channel 8.
Make your money and spread your hate!”
In both Tampa and Grand Rapids, they aired (or tried to air) an hour long SPEECHLESS Special comprised of the first three of the 14 video series videos. We at TC Family are able to show all 14 of the SPEECHLESS videos on our local access television station. (The final airing will be Tuesday September 1, 2009.)
We at www.TCFamily.org felt so strongly that the SPEECHLESS videos should be aired in Traverse City on “Up North 2” public access television that we advertised them with our 4-foot by 5-foot sign at the following locations:
o Nearly weekly for 14 weeks at various major Traverse City street / highway intersections.
o July 4th, 2009 Harbor Springs and Petoskey parade and fireworks gatherings for 4 hours.
o Sunday July 5, 2009 Traverse City Cherry Festival Air Show for 4 hours walking along the beach and Open Space.
o Traverse City Cherry Festival 2009 Kid’s Parade (walking down the parade route 30 minutes before the parade began.)
o Traverse City Cherry Festival closing day of festivities at the foot of Union Street next to the Carnival and across from the Open Space for 8 hours.
o And in front of The Traverse City Record Eagle Newspaper for 1 hour on Friday, August 21, 2009.
I would think that The Traverse City Record Eagle, who I assume closely monitors the regional news, had heard of these controversial videos airings in Grand Rapids and Tampa, and I would think that at least one of their reporters had seen our sign on the streets this summer. To report on this story would have given its readers an opportunity to decide for themselves the truth about the homosexual agenda and its impact on our nation.
We at TC Family feel strongly that if you watched the videos, you did not see “hate” towards homosexuals; rather, you saw an attempt to silence Christians, and as AFA Michigan said, you saw “…the truth about the radical homosexual agenda and its impact on the family, the nation and religious freedom.”
If you have not seen the “SPEECHLESS: Silencing the Christians” videos yet, you can watch them online 24/7 via our www.TCFamily.org website. Then you can decide for yourself if the videos are “hateful” as many “gay” activists claim, or truthful about the radical homosexual agenda and its impact on our nation.
